12 Banners is organized as a support system for Square Dance Clubs in and around the Sacramento area. The whole idea is to group 12 clubs together. Each club, promises to financially support each dance designated as a "12 Banners Dance" with a minimum of four dancers. By financially, we mean that if four dancers are not available to attend the designated dance from a participating club, that club will subsidize the club holding the dance by any remaining dancers up to four dancers. For example: If your club is a participating club in the program and they attempt to attend another clubs "12 Banners Dance", but only have two dancers in attendance, your club would compensate the dance as if the final two dancers were in attendance. If the door price is $7 per person the attending club would donate an additional $14 for the missing two dancers. Although, the financial support is nice, the idea is to have the dancers.
